Our farmhouse is situated in peaceful Valle Crucis. The original Mast General Store and Valle Crucis Park are a five... minute car ride away. The home is located on a dead end road with Dutch Creek, a native trout stream, in our backyard and Bear Paw State Park a few hundred yards away. This is a great location to be in close proximity to Banner Elk, Boone or Blowing Rock. Great restaurants like Mast Farm Inn are only a few miles away. If you have an interest in green building, if you are building a new home soon, or if you’re curious about solar energy in general, this is a place to learn about and experience it first hand.

There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a roof full of solar panels. The house has beautiful hardwood floors, concrete counters, subway tiles, stainless steel appliances, and modern furnishings. Guests will fall in love with the wrap around porch and the sound of the creek in the background. All of the energy used on site is generated cleanly and renewably. For EV owners, a 50amp outlet is located by the drive to charge up.

Our ideal tenants would be a family with children or a family with an older relative who needs a little support. The downstairs basement is setup to be a self-contained 1000 square foot apartment. This is not a student rental. The rental can not be rented to third parties.
